Job description - Custodian/Janitor

Full-time - Day Shift - 40 hours per week - Starting Wage Range $16.75-18.50

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities. This is vital in ensuring our employees and visitors a safe and pleasant environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
• Perform floor care tasks such as buffing, waxing, and polishing floors.
• Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while performing cleaning tasks.
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred.
• Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
